“p. 123. 5 July 1846 — I, James Sumner, being of sound mind and memory but weak in body. I will that all my just debts to be settled and all property I may die possessed of as household & kitchen furniture, farming tools, growing crops, horses, cattle, sheep & hogs with all debts, dues & demands owing to me, to be the right and property of my beloved wife Sally Sumner during her natural life or widowhood. I appoint my friend Joshua Whitaker as executor.
