September Webinar “How Old Does He Have to Be?” by Judy G. Russell, JD
September 26 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pmFree
We are pleased to be able to provide webinars for our regularly scheduled programs this summer. We are still under restrictions about the number of people allowed to gather in our meeting space so a webinar is a suitable alternative. We are so happy to have the privilege of sharing this program with you courtesy of the North Carolina Genealogical Society (NCGS).
This meeting will be held on Saturday, September 26 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. This will be a virtual meeting, using GoToWebinar software and hosted by the North Carolina Genealogical Society. The program is a pre-recorded webinar, so the presenter will not be available to answer questions. Below you will find the details on the webinar:
“How Old Does He Have to Be?” presented by Judy G. Russell, JD, The Legal Genealogist.
Program: Is this man John the father or John the son? Could that man be my ancestor who married in 1802?
Knowing a person’s age is often the key to distinguishing between two people of the same name. But if no record gives a birth date, how do you know how old someone was? The law can often give the answer.
Presenter: Judy G. Russell is a Genealogist with a law degree who writes, teaches, and lectures on topics such as using court records and other legal sources that can help find answers to common genealogical conundrums. Her website, The Legal Genealogist, provides a regular posts and links to past blog posts about genealogy research and resources.
Hosted by the NCGS using GoToWebinar software, this program is a pre-recorded webinar with a syllabus available. You must register for the meeting before the program starts on Saturday so you can receive the link for the program. There is no charge.
