June Program – “History of Skyland, NC” presented by Sandy Samz

In this hour long program, Sandy Samz will enlighten the audience about the origins and development of the Skyland community. Located south of Asheville, Skyland’s thriving community was founded by Mr. Otis Miller in 1887. Samz will explore how this community was influenced by the families who settled in the area. You can buy her recently published book entitled “Skyland and Its Founder” at the OBCGS eBay bookstore.

The program starts at 2:00 pm and runs through 3:00 pm at the OBCGS Library. Open to the public, we welcome you to visit, hear about some local history and genealogy and enjoy the company of friends.
