ALOB, Vol. IX, #1, p. 88-9:
“p. 99.  3 June 1844..  I, David Edwards, being of sound mind and memory though bodily afflicated.  First I will & desire that my executor pay my funeral expenses and all just debts.  I give and devise to my son John H. Edwards $2.  I give & devise to my son William R. Edwards $2..  I give & devise to my dtr. Joice wife of Ephraim Eller $2..  I give & devise to my dtr. Susannah wife of Enoch Parris $2..  I give & devise to my dtr. Jane wife of John Gentry $2..  I give and devise to my dtr. Isabella $2..  Having no real estate I give & devise to my beloved wife Polly all the personal estate belonging to me to have and to hold to her own use and benefit. 
I constitute and appoint my friend Joseph M. Rice my executor.. 
Wit; Jessee X Fisher, Juratt, James X Buckner..
