Approaching Asheville from the I-40 Eastbound & Westbound & I-26 Westbound
From eastbound I-40, take the Hwy. US 19/23 EXIT 44 toward West Asheville/ Enka/Candler. At the light TURN LEFT onto Smokey Park Highway/US19/23. Drive about 3.5 miles (the road name changes to Patton Ave.) and turn left onto North Louisiana Ave. between the Wells Fargo Bank and US Cellular. Drive about 1.5 miles on N. Louisiana Ave. and TURN RIGHT onto Adams Hill Road and proceed to the stop sign. (You will go through two traffic lights, then pass Emma Elementary School and several mobile home parks before Louisiana dead ends at Adams Hill Rd.) At the stop sign on Adams Hill Rd., TURN LEFT onto Bingham Road. OBCGS is located in the large brick building on the left. Enter through the opening in the wrought iron fence and park in a visitor spot (not a VA visitor spot) or in a spot marked for SUITE 950. When you come in the glass double doors, follow the signs to OBCGS.
From westbound I-40, take Exit 53B and merge onto I-240. Follow I-240 around Asheville and across the Smoky Park Bridge. You will then be on Patton Avenue/ Hwy 19/23S. Go through several lights and TURN RIGHT onto North Louisiana Ave. ( a large traffic intersection with Wells Fargo on the corner and US Cellular on the other corner) and follow the directions above from this point.
From westbound I-26, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONAL SIGNS TO I-240, DO NOT MERGE INTO I-40 WEST OR EAST. This can be a confusing, congested intersection, so proceed with caution and be sure to follow the signs to I-240 and Asheville. Once on I-240, follow it to Exit 3-A on the left – you will exit to the left and circle around under the overpass and come up to merge onto Patton Ave. going west. Go through several lights and TURN RIGHT onto North Louisiana Ave. (a large intersection traffic light with Wells Fargo on the corner and US Cellular on the other corner) and follow the directions in the first paragraph from there.
