1977-1989

Note: You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this index.

It can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.adobe.com/

Full obituaries as well as death and funeral notices are included.  Date is the date the obituary appeared in the newspaper, NOT the death date.  Information includes: name of the deceased, age, other names by which the deceased was known (such as maiden name), place of birth (if given), and up to three paper dates.  Most are from the Asheville Citizen-Times, but there are scattered obituaries from other area newspapers.  If the obituary is in this index, OBCGS has a hard copy in the files.  Contact the Society for information on ordering a copy.
