For our “Open House” to celebrate Family History Month in October, we plan to have several experts available to help with specific research challenges. The public is welcome to visit the library between 10:00 am – 3:00 pm to browse our shelves and visit with experts who will be ready to help get you started on your research journey or help you get unstuck on your brick walls.

Are there skeletons in your closet? Well, come visit us to find out more about your ancestors or the local area where they might have lived.

The spirits are walking! And you might find out more than you ever dreamed about your ancestors from our expert researchers who will be available to help in areas such as Cherokee history, military service, DNA technology or online websites for research.

Snacks and drinks will be served so stop by for a look at the library and stay for awhile to learn more about your family!
